Emily Dickinson Presentations:
As part of our mission to combat food insecurity through education and community engagement, One Spoon at a Time visited Emily Dickinson Elementary to introduce kindergarten students to hunger awareness. Through interactive activities, we helped young learners understand empathy, sharing, and how they can support families in need — because lasting change begins with early awareness.

Hopelink donations:
To honor the dedication of pantry workers who tirelessly serve our community, our team donated over 100 appreciation goody bags filled with essential supplies and small treats, including masks, hand sanitizer, gloves, notebooks, pens, mochi, thank you cards made by the students we presented to, and chocolates. These bags were a small token of our deep gratitude for the compassion, resilience, and care they show every day in the fight against hunger. Their work makes our mission possible, and we are proud to recognize those who make a difference behind the scenes.
Food Drive:
Through a collaborative food drive at the Together Center, One Spoon at a Time partnered with Lake Washington’s Pantry Pack Program and Hopelink to provide essential food items to families experiencing food insecurity. This initiative strengthened our commitment to combining youth leadership with community partnerships to create real, measurable impact. By working together, we were able to extend support directly to those who need it most in our local community.

Einstein Presentations on Hunger Awareness:
Our team had the opportunity to present to two second grade classrooms at Albert Einstein Elementary to raise awareness about hunger and food insecurity in our community. Through age-appropriate discussions and interactive activities, we helped students understand the importance of access to food and how small acts of kindness can make a difference. These presentations empowered young students to build a sense of responsibility toward supporting others.
Food Drive Collection:
Our food drive flyers and advertisements gained us over 200 packaged goods! We were able to gather mostly food meant for kids and students that allowed us to donate this food from our food drive!

Lake Washington Pantry Pack Foundation:
Our team was able to donate over 200 packages to the Lake Washington Pantry Pack Foundation! Through this small donation, we hope to impact many students striving for food and can help them in even this small gesture!
